Starkbierzeit Parade Day Soirée

Join Bierstadt Lagerhaus on Saturday, March 14th – Denver’s St. Patrick’s Parade Day – for a one-of-a-kind beer celebration! We’re combining two great traditions: Bavarian Starkbierzeit (“strong beer season”) and Irish parade revelry. This free all-day soiree features hearty brunch fare, special strong lagers, live polka music, and fun contests to keep the spirit high. Bring your green attire (or lederhosen!) and your friends and family for an unforgettable fusion of Denver’s favorite traditions.

We’ll kick things off at 10:00AM with our Parade Day Brunch to fuel up for the festivities. At 1:00 PM, we’ll tap our special Starkbier Lineup: including BFL, Winter Bock, Doppelbock, and Baltic Porter. Raise a stein and shout “Zum Wohl!” as we kick off Strong Bier Time. Gear up for our Feats of Strength: a Push-Up Competition starting at 1:30 PM (no experience needed – compete for bragging rights and prizes!), an International Rugby Football Game, and a classic Stein Hoisting Contest at 4:30 PM (who can hold a full liter stein at arm’s length the longest?). To top it off, from 5:00 PM onward, our DJ spins party tunes and dance music to close out the night.

• 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Parade Day Brunch
• 1:00 PM: Strong Bier Time – tapping of our special Starkbier; join us as we toast the occasion!
• 1:30 PM: Strong Man Push-Up Competition – Just like regular push-ups, but with drinking. Prize Pack to the winner
• 2:00 PM: Rugby Watch Party – France vs. England in the 6 Nations hosted by Denver Barbarians RFC
• 4:30 PM: Stein Hoisting Contest – see who can hold a full liter stein outstretched the longest!
• 5:00 PM: DJ Spins – dance and party beats to keep the celebration going into the evening.

This event is free and open to the public – no tickets or reservations needed, just come and have fun! Bierstadt Lagerhaus (our RiNo-area brewery and taproom) will have plenty of its award-winning lagers and our special Starkbier on tap, along with pub snacks. Feel free to wear green or Bavarian-themed gear (Dirndls and lederhosen welcome!), and bring the whole family (kids are welcome with supervision). Remember: you must be 21+ with a valid ID to drink.
