Join Neill from Go Stargazing for an exploration of the night skies above the Yorkshire Dales Dark Skies Reserve. Enjoy a laser-guided tour of the constellations and learn simple tricks to find your way around the night sky. The planets Venus, Jupiter and Mars will all be prominent in the evening skies, all of which look fabulous through a large aperture telescope (provided), with which you will also view deep sky objects including nebulae, star clusters and distant galaxies. If you have a telescope or binoculars bring them along for expert advice. If the weather is cloudy we’ll bring things indoors with some informal and entertaining presentations. Please arrive at 6pm to the Saddle Room restaurant for supper. We will be serving Meat & Potato Pie with Peas, please notify us of any dietary requirements when booking.https://www.thesaddleroom.co.uk/product/stargazing-at-tupgill/
The Stargazing activity will commence at 7.30pm with Neill from Go Stargazing and will aim to conclude at 9.30pm. As most of the evening will be held outside please wrap up warm!
Carparking is available in the main Forbidden Corner carpark.
We look forward to welcoming you.
