Oakoasis changes after dark... When the sky is full of stars, moonlit paths take on a creepy hue - the perfect shade for seeking out nighttime critters like bats and scorpions.That’s what you can experience if you arrive on time for the monthly star party that takes place at Oakoasis - this time with women in the wild! We like to kick things off with a short and optional ranger-led twilight hike.
Back at the staging area, astronomers with the San Diego Astronomy association set out their giant telescopes to share different vantage points of the stellar phenomenon above for a truly out-of-this-world experience.
Dress in layers and bring a flashlight for the trail. In the parking area we'll want to keep things as dark as possible to focus in on the stars, constellations and planets!
Parking is limited so come early, carpool, and park along the driveway if the lot is full.
