STARDUST: An Immersive Theater Experience

All is not right in the Hotel Dion.

Inside its old-fashioned doors lurks a surreal world of mystery, glamour, and wonder. Walking its halls feels like recounting a hazy memory and one can all too easily become lost. Within the walls of the Hotel Dion, guests and staff alike experience strange phenomena: dreams and nightmares come to life, the voices of the lost whisper in the night, forgotten memories wander within its walls, and guests bearing golden skin and celestial masks inhabit the lounges and foyers.

You have stumbled by chance from your waking world into the lobby of the Hotel Dion. The bellhop offers you a key…but in exchange, you must tell them the greatest desire of your life.

Now, enter the Hotel Dion and immerse yourself in the performance of 22 actors as they wrestle with indecision, dreams, and interpersonal conflict. Explore the space of the Hotel Dion, follow a particular set of characters and help them uncover their lost memories, and reflect with them. As you delve deeper into the story of this world, you will discover that you are on the brink of a great change yourself, a metamorphosis into everything you’ve ever desired to be.

But no change comes without cost, and if you want to walk amongst the stars, you’ll first have to brave the darkness.

Join us for Stardust, an original immersive/interactive theater performance by experience design company Alterea Inc! The Sassafras Saloon has been transformed into the Hotel Dion; part Hotel California and part Mardi Gras masquerade, with a touch of celestial magic realism, the Hotel Dion is a liminal space between worlds and times.

You are invited to respectfully explore the space and interact with performers over the course of the night as the performance unfolds. Watch performances, talk with characters at the bar, explore mysterious rooms, solve puzzles, and reflect on your deepest dreams and desires.
