In celebration of International Dark Sky Week, HCAS is joined with Dark Sky Maryland and the Havre de Grace Green Team to host a special star party! We will meet at the promenade by the Decoy Museum where the town of Havre de Grace has kindly agreed to turn off the lights to give us a better view of the night sky. It also helps that the moon is still close to new and won’t drown out the stars. We will have telescopes set up for viewing various astronomical objects including Jupiter, the Leo Triplet galaxies, and the Beehive Cluster. It’s free and open to the public so bring your family, bring your friends, or bring a date! See you there!
