Join members of the Tar River Astronomy Club and education staff from the Imperial Centre for the Arts & Sciences on the back lawn of the Braswell Memorial Public Library, 727 Grace Street in Rocky Mount, for our first Star Party of the Fall season. Look for the telescopes set up on the grass, adjacent to Franklin Street and directly between the Library and the Imperial Centre. Naked eye and telescopic viewing targets will include the current partial phase of Venus, Saturn's "disappearing" rings and of course, the craters and mountains of the Moon!
Please note that the Library is closed during this event. Dress warmly for cooler evening temperatures. The Library will be cutting off some outside lights for us, so be sure supervise children at all times.
