Featuring Finghin Collins (piano) and Sharon-Carty (mezzo-soprano) the Stanford Society are delighted to present a concert of songs and piano music by Charles Villiers Stanford. Collins and Carty are no strangers to performing Stanford's music having released a CD of Stanford songs earlier this year, while Collins has been performing Stanford's Piano Concerto no.2 to great acclaim in venues across Ireland and Europe this year, having previously recorded the work with the National Symphony Orchestra in 2010.
In this the centenary year of Stanford's death it will be wonderful to hear some of Stanford's songs alongisde two of Stanford's Five Caprices for piano.
Tickets are priced at €20 and €10 for students
