We are hosting a Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid course. This is a 2 day course that teaches all of the content in the Emergency First Aid Class as well as additional topics and skills like head, neck, spine injuries.
Hands on skills like slings and splints are practiced. Emergency child birth, environmental poisons and caring for an ill or injured person when EMS is not available in a short time.
This course is a pre-requisite for First Aid Instructor candidates and the Youth Leader instructor candidates. Different sporting coaches, university entrance requirements, and those wanting to learn a little more than the Emergency First Aid class.
Class will be held at the Transcona East End Centre from 9:00-4:30 both Saturday & Sunday.
Successful participants will receive an E-certificate from the Canadian Red Cross that is valid for 3 years.
