Stand Up(s) for South Brooklyn Sanctuary: Comedy Benefit & Art Show

Enjoy a night of laughter with comedians Julio Torres, Laith Nakli, Jaboukie Young-White, Kareem Rahma, and more! All proceeds support South Brooklyn Sanctuary, a grassroots organization that trains volunteers to support immigrants in NYC who cannot afford attorneys.

Under the current administration’s aggressive deportation policies, thousands of immigrant families are facing life-altering legal battles without the right to representation. Nearly 60% of immigrants nationwide represent themselves in court. Since 2023, South Brooklyn Sanctuary has supported over 3,000 immigrants by providing Know Your Rights education, attorney referrals, and crucial assistance, including help with work permits and asylum applications.

To meet the escalating need, we are fundraising to:

1. Hire an immigration attorney
2. Train additional volunteers to expand our reach and impact
3. Enhance our Know Your Rights education throughout NYC
