- Beginner Basics Stand-Up Comedy Class

CLASSES BEGIN TUESDAY - OCTOBER 6, 2026

7:00PM - 9:30PM

Six session evening course for adults 18 years of age and older, providing stand-up comedy writing and performing basic instruction in a relaxed and fun filled environment. Sessions will prepare the student to write and deliver their own five (5) minute stand-up comedy performance.

Course includes an overview of comedy styles and performance techniques. Introduction to joke writing, set-ups, punchlines and delivery.Finding your "comedic voice" and presentation skills.Stage presence, use of microphone, performance etiquette and creating a stage persona. Publicity headshot and marketing presentation techniques

.A GRADUATION SHOWCASE will be presented in a professional comedy club style setting that will include invited guests.
