This class requires NO experience at all! kids 12 and over welcome!Come create original, playful art with this simple and satisfying printmaking technique. Participants will create a several small relief images by carving a design into soft kut- (an easier alternative to linoleum) Then we will use of variety of printing and stamping techniques to create original pieces, collaged work, cards, and more. Stamps can be used to print on fabric with fabric inks as well! (bring your own t-shirts, bags, cloth scraps etc.) We will play with rainbow rolls, experiment with unusual backgrounds to print on and more. Participants could decide make a series of handmade holiday cards, or just come to explore the exciting possibilities of using small scale imagery in surprising combinations.
