The Stained Glass Adventure

Perfect for ages 15 and up, this is a fun, relaxed atmosphere where you can be creative and express yourself. Enjoy this event solo, with friends or family, discovering the art of stained glass and design. Make and take home a beautiful leaded stained glass suncatcher-type (hanging) project OR a stained glass mosaic in this fun 3-hour event. Make whatever your imagination can create! If you're a little low on inspiration, popular ideas include butterflies, dragonflies, mushrooms and feathers, as well as beautiful abstract pieces or your zodiac colors.

Learn the thousand-year-old crafting process and try your hand at using our tools & materials to make your project under the leadership of our experienced instructors. Activities include design, rough cutting, soldering, and assembly. Project materials, use of tools and equipment are included in the workshop price. This class is the foundation for attending Beginner Stained Glass classes in the future.

Class includes a short talk on the secrets of the stained glass process, including history, glass making, the window making process, design fundamentals and other interesting facts.

As an added bonus you will learn the EMOSY process…just bring an idea of what makes you happy or an event to be celebrated and we will guide you through the process of using symbolic stained glass colors and shapes to create a unique self-expressive project. The EMOSY program is an entertainment version of our past approved State of Oklahoma social worker provider workshop.

Mosaic Option: As an alternative, stained glass mosaics project are an option for younger participants or for anyone who would like to create a unique lead-free piece of art.

This class is a favorite “Things to do in Tulsa” result found in search engines. Whether you're a Tulsa resident or just passing through town while exploring Route 66, stop by and see us! In addition to fun and creative classes, we have all your stained glass needs. We're centrally located, with easy access from main thoroughfares, minutes from anywhere in Tulsa. Projects made during class will be photographed (with student permission) at the end of class and may be included in a Tulsa Stained Glass coloring book.

Rage Room Experience

All classes include Rage Room smashing. Students are encouraged to write, draw or doodle an image of what makes them happy or sad on the dinnerware provided. In a symbolic gesture, the item is smashed to pieces, representing happiness multiplied or riddance of ill feelings.

At the conclusion of class, take a little time for yourself in our new Painting Corner. It’s a great way to keep in touch with your inner self and use the design principles you learned in class. We encourage you to try painting your feelings about today's theme, inspired by the book Draw How You Feel, by Richard Bohm.

The Fine Print:

• Closed toe shoes required. Glass or hot solder + feet = ouch! Long pants preferred for smashing activities.

• Participants sign a Personal Injury Waiver and an Intellectual Property Waiver to attend class. Please read Waiver before your event. There will be a copy for you to sign in person at the event. Adults must sign on behalf of minor participants. Photos and/or videos of you and your project may be used for promotional purposes on social media or other platforms. If you wish to be excluded, please notify us at check in.

• Rescheduling or cancelations are only accepted up to 48 hours before the event date. No refunds will be made for part or all of the class value after the cancelation deadline. 1. Garden Sculpture Stake - Plant your project in a flower pot or your garden with a metal stake for only $8. Please note that this option is completed at the conclusion of the class.

2. Illuminated Wine Glass Tapletop Display - Enjoy your creation anywhere, even without a window, with this tapletop display. Includes your choice of vessel, stained glass pieces for the bottom of the glass, hanging hardware and a safe, beautiful LED tea light to light up your project. It's a great way to set a beautiful or romantic atmosphere. $12

Students are invited to visit our attached studio at the conclusion of class for a Studio Tour and to learn more about the craft.
