Stained Glass & Tile Planters with MAC- 4 sessions

MAC is back to guide students through a four week stained glass & tile planter project! Add your creative flare to a small vessel that will make your succulents shine!

This class will be geared toward adults. Each participant will walk away from the class knowing how to make stained glass objects and a completed planter.

About the teaching artist: MAC is a 3rd generation stained glass artist who has taught stained glass classes for the Rebuilding Exchange. MAC loves to make stained glass work that features nature and challenges the unique material qualities of stained glass. In other areas of their practice, MAC uses Graphic Design, 3D printing, Laser Cutting, Woodworking, CNC Milling, Moldmaking & Casting, and other fabrication techniques to create engaging objects and educational materials.

Experience Level:

All experience levels are welcome!

What’s Provided:
All materials provided!
Using provided materials, you'll spend 4 weeks learning the basics of stained glass and designing and constructing your very own stained glass planter.
Some of the topics Mac will teach you include:

• Stained glass safety
• Cutting with hand tools
• Grinding with power grinder
• Foiling with copper foil
• Soldering with leaded solder
• Cleaning & caring for your stained glass
• Painting with enamel paints

Getting There/Where to Park:

Humboldt - Free street parking is available on the street outside of The WasteShed, but spots may be limited so please plan accordingly. The Kimball bus stops right outside our doors! Please let us know if you need wheelchair access.
