Stained Glass and Sacred Spaces: McAllister Family History Revealed Through the Artistic Collaborations of Phebe K. McAllister with Charles J. Connick and Burnham Hoyt Presented by Amy Miller, Visitor Services Manager for the McAllister House Museum
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
In honor of Arts Month, the CSPM is partnering with the McAllister House Museum to present Stained Glass and Sacred Spaces. Visitor Services Manager, Amy Miller, will provide a brief history of the McAllisters and Phebe McAllister that connects to her book that was published in 1939. The book was the point of departure for the nearly two years of research for this project. After that, will be an examination of Charles J Connick and Burnham Hoyt; both were artists that Phebe McAllister collaborated closely with on the stained glass window and wood chancel canopy. Followed by Phebe’s artistic visions and collaborations and a close look at the stained glass window, panels, and woodwork.
