Join us for a bright and whimsical project in our upcoming Stained Glass Butterfly Class! 🦋✨Whether you love nature, vibrant colors, or simply want to create something joyful and eye-catching, this class is for you. No garden required — just imagination, creativity, and a love for beautiful glass.
In this hands-on class, you’ll create a stunning medium-sized stained glass butterfly—perfect for beginners or anyone curious about the craft. You’ll start by choosing one of our pre-made butterfly patterns and learn each step of the stained glass process, from cutting and shaping your glass pieces to foiling and soldering. Our experienced instructor will guide you through every stage, sharing tips and demos along the way.
By the end, you’ll leave with a gorgeous handcrafted butterfly ready to hang in your window — along with a solid foundation of stained glass skills to inspire future creations.
Day 1: You’ll learn about glass types and color choices, how to score and break glass for curved and detailed shapes, grind each piece to fit your pattern, and apply copper foil.
Homework: Most students don’t finish grinding and foiling during the first session. If needed, you can book time in our Glass Studio Thursday–Sunday between classes to finish your pieces.
Day 2: You’ll solder your butterfly, add optional decorative wire accents, apply patina (if desired), wax your finished piece, and your vibrant stained glass butterfly will be ready to display proudly.
No Experience Required.
Ages 14+ welcome if accompanied by a parent/guardian. Both need to register and pay.
