Stage One: Producing New Musicals Workshop

Stage One is pleased to announce a brand-new producer training workshop on producing new musical theatre.

Over two days, in partnership with Birmingham Hippodrome, participants will take part in training sessions, panels and discussions about producing commercial musical theatre in the UK, led by experienced industry professionals from across the sector who are shaping the artform today.

This workshop is for those who have produced before and would benefit from more insight into producing musicals or would like to develop skills in producing musical theatre.

Session topics will cover:

· Acquiring Rights/Commissions for new musicals

· Budgets for musical theatre

· Partnering with regional theatres and commercial producers

· Investment Strategies

· Collaborating with musical theatre artists

· The future of musical theatre

The workshop will also include time for networking with other delegates and an opportunity to see a touring UK new musical.

Timings

Thursday 26th February : arrivals and registration from 9:30am // sessions end 5:45pm followed by time to network and optional performance.

Friday 27th February: arrivals from 9:45am // sessions end 4pm.

Ticket Details

Full Price Ticket: £100

Concession Ticket: £80

Concessions include: Full-time student, unwaged, 65+, wheelchair user & disabled. If you require an access companion ticket please email [email protected].

All tickets include lunch and refreshments. Please share dietary and access requirements when booking. Please note if you do not share requirements at time of booking we can not guarantee last minute dietary requirements.

There is the option to book a ticket to see The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical at a discounted rate on Thursday 26th evening at Birmingham Hippodrome after the workshop. Discount code will be shared after booking.
