Hailing from the darkest depths of West Cornwall, Bagas Fellyon are re-imagining the sound of Cornish traditional music.
Taking the dark majestic beauty of the rugged Celtic coastline, the softness of golden sands and throwing in the grit of post industrial decay Bagas Fellyon are infusing the traditional music of Cornwall with their own lived experience in order to create something fresh, vibrant and alive.
Using drums, bass, saxophone, fiddle, accordion and hammered dulcimer, Bagas Fellyon weave hypnotic rhythms and evolving textures in Combination with melodies both ancient and modern to paint a picture of Cornwall and Cornishness that goes deeper than the typical picture postcard representations of the Dutchy.
Dalla Duo:
Dalla Duo offer a celebration of the very best of Cornish traditional music in all its varied glory, from wild and mesmerising dance tunes to beautifully haunting slower pieces. This includes instrumentals on bouzouki and clarinet, as well as songs in Cornish and in English.
Neil Davey and Hilary Coleman are individually very well known to anyone familiar with Cornish traditional music having both played an integral part in the great revival of this genre seen over recent decades. They are probably best known for being the two original founding members of the internationally acclaimed pioneering Cornish music group Dalla, and also continue to play together in the hugely popular nos lowen dance band Skillywidden which grew out of Dalla.
