About this Event
The forums are organized and sponsored by USF St. Petersburg campus' Student Government and the Center for Civic Engagement, along with League of Women Voters, St. Petersburg Downtown Partnership, and LocalShops1.
You're invited to a reception and forum to meet the candidates running for St. Petersburg City Council, as well as for mayor.
The City Council forum takes place Tuesday Sept 28; the mayoral forum takes place Wednesday Sept 29.
- 6-6:45 pm: Meet & Greet with the candidates
- 7-8:30 pm: Candidates Forum
Both forums will be moderated by Judithanne Scourfield McLauchlan, founding director of the Center for Civic Engagement at the University of South Florida's St. Petersburg campus. Panelists will include USFSP students.
Admission is free and open to the public. Registration is not required, but very much recommended so we can properly plan.
All the candidates whose name will appear on the ballot have been invited to participate.
Do you have a question for any of the candidates? Please submit questions we should consider through this form: https://forms.gle/BguKKxRGwAEw7P4z9
Questions must be received by 6 pm Sept. 20.
Election ballots will be mailed out Sept. 30, and Election Day is November 2.
