St Patrick’s Day falls on a Tuesday this year, which might scare off bars and venues from throwing a big party! That is definitely not the case at the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave), as we are hosting a huge St Paddy’s Day Party with the most amazing band! Over the years we have been known for hosting the very best St Paddy’s Day Party East of Yonge Street! We are keeping that reputation alive by bringing back Quell the Swell who will play all of your favourite Irish Classics! There will be drink specials, free swag and a whole of fun at the Linsmore on Tuesday March 17th! Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door! The door opens at 7pm! This is a party you will want to be a part of!
Quell the Swell play a wide range of music including; traditional celtic music by Stan Rogers, The Dubliners and the Irish Rovers, to East coast music like Great Big Sea and Spirit of the West, celtic influenced rock bands like The Pogues, Flogging Molly and The Dropkick Murphys, foot stomping instrumental fiddle tunes, jigs and reels and even some popular music by Green Day, The Tragically Hip, The Beatles, REM and the Proclaimers that they put their own celtic spin on. It’s always a good time with Quell the Swell especially on St Paddys Day.
