Savannah’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is one of the largest in America right behind New York City and Chicago.

Comprised of Irish heritage wonderful marching bands traditional dancers and elaborate floats people come to Savannah from all over the world to participate in the local parade! Locals and visitors look forward to the parade all year as it is Savannah's largest event! It is so famous that dedicated attendees will camp out along the parade route to ensure they have the best views. 

The entire Savannah Historic District becomes a hub of Irish-themed festivities drawing 300000+ visitors for one of the biggest St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in the U.S.

Welcome you to the 201st anniversary of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Savannah Georgia. The Irish Catholic community in Savannah has and continues to celebrate the feast of St. Patrick the Patron Saint of Ireland since 1824. This year at 10:15 am on March 17th they begin the day by attending Mass at the Basilica Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. All are welcome to attend. While the parade itself is a fun event for the entire community They keep the foundation of Faith in the hearts as you celebrate this great day and St. Patrick who spread Christianity across Ireland.
