🍀 LET’S SHAMROCK THE BLOCK ON ST. PADDY’S DAY WEEKEND!Get ready to paint the town green as the City of Aurora proudly hosts the annual Daniel D. Dolan St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Irish Flag-Raising Ceremony on Sunday, March 16, at 11 a.m.!
This shamrockin’ celebration takes in downtown Aurora, centered on Downer Place between Water Street and Stolp Avenue, where parade-goers decked out in green will fill the streets with Irish spirit! The parade kicks off at Water Street and Downer Place, marching west to Stolp Island Ave. before reaching the main stage at the GAR Museum, 23 E. Downer Place.
As the parade wraps up, the Irish Flag-Raising Ceremony will take center stage! This heartfelt tribute will include a presentation of the Emerald Excellence Awards, a dazzling performance by the McNulty Irish Dancers, and the hoisting of the Irish flag by the Dolan Family, honoring the legacy of the parade’s namesake, Daniel D. Dolan
After the ceremony, downtown bars and restaurants will be alive with Irish cheer and St. Paddy’s Day fun!
