St. Patrick's Day Fab Lab Beer Stein Workshop, laser, engrave

Come to the Fab Lab to create your own laser engraved beer stein. You'll receive the large, heavy, glass mug along with instructions on how to engrave your own design onto the mug. This workshop uses the rotary attachment for the laser cutters/engravers. We will have some designs ready to choose from. Design will also not be black, but engraved into the glass (so it'll look "white-ish", almost a frosted look).

Please note that you'll need to bring your own design to the lab on a flash drive. If you bring your own design, it needs to be in Adobe Illustrator or should be an outline of the picture you want. A regular picture will not work for this project. You are also welcome to email your design to the Fab Lab prior to the workshop for guidance on file manipulation prior to the workshop.

The Fab Lab at Lake Michigan College is an open access digital fabrication studio and collaborative workshop. We provide access to information, tools, software and space for anyone who has an interest to learn and create. The Fab Lab provides open access to design software, laser cutters, 3D printers, vinyl cutters, sewing machines, mini-lathes, woodshop, CNC router (ShopBot) and hand tools.
