About Blackstrap Bluegrass
Blues, roots & alt-country
Blackstrap Bluegrass is a long standing group of musicians from Bend, Oregon. What started out as some porch pickin back in 2004 turned into a full fledged band project that resulted in picking and grinning at local and regional festivals, local bend venues and private parties across the state. Members have come and gone, but the roots stay the same in providing some catchy originals mixed in with familiar grassy standards, and creative covers. Currently featuring: Craig Mavis: Upright Bass Guitar and Vocals, Jak Rands: flatpicking guitar, Steve Arnold: 5 string Banjo, and Derek Hofbauer: Mandolin.

About The Vibeshiftahs
This new group is headed by the soulful vocals, keys, and songwriting of Sean Alan. Original Bendites will remember Sean as the lead vocalist for the Bond Brothers who ruled local stages during their decade stint in Central Oregon.
The VibeShiftas consist of Dylan Bernal on drums, Kelli Brooks on bass, and the deep guitar talent of Brother Gabe Johnson, who's well known regionally for his work with Watkins Glen, Elektrapod, Brother Gabe Trio and Sonic Benders. The VibeShiftas is something special and brings a cutting, socially conscious vibration to their music and lyrics. Their predominantly original material blends R&B, Soul, Reggae, Pop, Blues, Jazz, Rock, and even some Funky Hip-Hop undertones. If you want to hear something unique, edgy, beautiful, and different with top-notch vocals and incredible musicianship, this band is for you.
Focusing on inclusivity and the magical vibrational shift that music generates when performed live with love and aptitude, Sean Alan & The VibeShiftas bring a much-needed freshness to the Central Oregon music scene.

About The Ballybogs
Irish music
The Ballybogs came together in 2017 as a diverse group of experienced musicians and singers who met at the local Irish music session in Bend.
Beginning as a dance band for local contradances, we expanded our repertoire to include ballads and songs. We still play at dances, but also at pubs, festivals, private parties and other venues in Central Oregon.
In addition, we play weekly at local pubs, in "sessions", and also house sessions with other local musicians interested in traditional Irish music. Several members are also involved in slow and tune learning sessions for beginners.
Traditional Irish music consists of not only of tunes and rhythms that are for dancing, but also songs with stories, and melodies that you think you've heard before.
Members of the band are:
Amanda Wrenn, fiddle and vocals
Jason Herzog, bouzouki, whistle and vocals
Michael Long, uillean pipes, low whistle and bodhran
Michele Sims, flute and button accordion
Steve Lundgren, fiddle and mandolin
Jeff Sims, guitar

About Hillstomp
High-energy junkyard blues
Hillstomp is a 2-man band comprised of Henry Hill Kammerer and John Johnson. Henry plays guitar and banjo like a hurricane, and if you close your eyes you'd swear he's playing 2 parts at once. John Johnson beats mercilessly on his drums, with the fury of a demon loose from hell. Once you get past the pure ferocity of his playing, you notice the parts are intricately crafted patterns that provide the framework for Kammerer's guitar and banjo sorcery.
The whole thing started as a love letter of sorts to North Mississippi blues played by the likes of RL Burnside and Junior Kimbrough. It first caught on in college towns like Eugene and Olympia, but soon bigger cities got it as well. The band stayed there for a few years and then started to morph - adding banjo and writing more and more of their own music. The fast and loud songs kept coming, but now they were interspersed with ballads and slow-burners to give the sweat-soaked dancers a chance to breathe. They have set out on national headlining tours, tore their way through Europe a few times, and opened for many of their heroes along the way.
Hillstomp sounds like a boom box blasting from a shopping cart. Two madmen have strapped an engine to the cart and it's too big and running too hot. They've got a banjo and a megaphone, a washboard and a kick drum. They've stocked the cart with guitars, buckets, car parts, and microphones and they are hurtling towards a blown out bridge while the bad front wheel flaps manically. The fools think they can jump the bridge and land safely on the other side. They are very wrong but no one has told them because...well, they just seem so happy. And there you are, bouncing alongside them and deep down you hope they make it. Hillstomp is folk music in its purest form - from loud and gritty, to intricate and poignant, and most importantly, always heartfelt and true.

About Talamh Dubh
Talamh Dubh is a trio with collective ties to Ireland and a love for Irish music. Their name, "Dark Earth" in Gaelic, pays homage to the volcanic ground of the Cascade range upon which the group formed. Featured in their repertoire are jigs, reels, hornpipes, marches, waltzes, and the occasional song.
Amanda Wrenn, born and raised in Anchorage, fell in love with the violin at an early age. She started by playing classical music and eventually discovered the joy of Irish fiddling at a session in Bend, Oregon in 2016. She contributes many of the most beautiful songs to our repertoire. Amanda also performs at local sessions and with her other band, The Ballybogs.
Patrick Leonard, born in Belfast, grew up listening to Irish music and watching his mother happily dance jigs & reels. After dedicating himself as a professional musician in various genres, Patrick returned to his roots, cutting his teeth at traditional Irish music sessions, and later performing with various groups on the East Coast, including Gypsy Dargle and Nu Sean Nós. With Talamh Dubh, Patrick features on tenor banjo and mandolin.
Sandra Peevers descends from a music playing family in County Kerry. Her agency, On Queue Performing Artists, has represented some of the world's best performers, many from the Celtic world. Sandy has been lucky to befriend and study guitar accompaniment from some of the great musicians she has represented through the years. While guitar is her main instrument, Sandy also plays octave mandolin with the group.
