Since 1834 St Mark’s church has been a place of music and singing. From Sunday Worship to organ recitals and more recently community choirs and seated Indian Fusion dancing.For the past 18 months St Mark’s, fondly refered to as the 'Potters Cathedral' has undergone major building works to the tower, roof and interior in the main Church as part of a National Lottery Heritage Fund funded programme of works.
For this year's Heritage Open Day celebration, St Mark’s will once again echo with song.
6pm - Pre show talk. Join The Under One Roof team and find out about the history of St Mark’s, the restoration work and community projects that have been taking place.
7pm - two 45 minute performances with a break in between for refreshments.
Award-winning stars of Britain’s got Talent Soprano Denise Leigh and Stefan Andrusyschyn will join us for an uplifting program of favourite songs from the classical and musical theatre repertoire in their first local performance since their triumphant appearance on the live shows.
