St. Joseph's Day Parade 2025 | New Orleans

The St. Joseph's Day Parade in New Orleans is a vibrant celebration organized by the Italian American Club honoring St. Joseph and the city's rich Italian heritage. This lively event features 16 decorative floats nine energetic marching bands and numerous participants dressed in elegant tuxedos all parading through the historic French Quarter.

Parade Details:

• Date and Time: The parade traditionally commences at 6:00 p.m. starting at the intersection of Canal Street and Chartres Street.
• Route for Floats and Maids: To ensure the Maids arrive promptly at the Hilton Hotel for the St. Joseph's Gala preparations their route diverges slightly. After starting at Canal and Chartres they proceed through the French Quarter turning onto St. Ann Street then onto Decatur Street and finally returning to the Hilton Hotel.
• Route for Marchers: The marching groups prefer to immerse themselves in the bustling areas of the French Quarter. Following the floats and Maids the marchers begin at Canal and Chartres continue through the heart of the French Quarter and take a route that includes Royal Street allowing for extended engagement with enthusiastic spectators.

This parade is a cornerstone of New Orleans' cultural festivities reflecting the deep-rooted Italian influences that have shaped the city's history. Participants and onlookers alike revel in the spirited atmosphere marked by music dance and a shared sense of community pride.
