BK House will honor St. Joseph's Day with an Altar again this year! Join us in marking this sacred Sicilian tradition honoring the Patron Saint of Sicily, which has been celebrated in the French Quarter since Sicilian immigrants began arriving in the city in the late 19th century.This annual observance will be held on March 18, beginning with a short service at St. Mary’s Church at 9:45 a.m. across from the Historic BK House. Attendees will move to BK at 10:00 a.m., where Father Damian Zablocki will lead a special blessing of the Altar. Afterward, the Altar will be open to the public. Each visitor will receive a traditional prayer card, an Italian cookie, blessed bread, and a lucky bean.
The Altar will also be available for viewing on March 19 from 10 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
