St. James Episcopal Church in downtown Wilmington is thrilled to announce our speaker for our Fall Edition of the St. James Speaker Series. November 3, 2022, The Rev. Becca Stevens, founder of Thistle Farms, will be presenting "Leading with love: Creating a smooth path over rocky ground .”Becca Stevens is a speaker, social entrepreneur, author, priest, founder of ten non-profit justice enterprises, and President of Thistle Farms. She has been featured on PBS NewsHour, The Today Show, CNN, ABC World News, named a CNN Hero, and White House Champion of Change, holds five honorary doctorates, and raised over $65M in funding for justice initiatives. Drawn from 25 years of leadership in mission-driven work, Becca leads important conversations across the country with an inspiring message that love is the strongest force for change in the world.
In her presentation, “Leading with love: Creating a smooth path over rocky ground,” The Rev. Becca Stevens will discuss how love can teach us to view the world with new eyes. Leading with love allows us to open our hearts to those who are hurting, whether a neighbor or someone across the globe.
We invite the community to come and join us on Thursday, November 3, 2022 for this special presentation. At 6:30 p.m. there will be a small reception for The Rev. Becca Stevens in the Lippitt Room followed by her 7:00 p.m. presentation of "Leading with love: Creating a smooth path over rocky ground" in the St. James Sanctuary or by tuning in to our livestream.
