SCHEDULE:
• 4:00 PM – Mass for the Solemnity of St. Francis
• 5:15 PM – Transitus Service
• 6:00 PM – St. Francis Fest
WHERE:
• Mass & Transitus service at St. Padre Pio Parish
• Weather permitting, St. Francis Fest will follow outdoors.
• In the case of inclement weather we will move to Hyacinth Epp Hall.
DETAILS:
Join St. Padre Pio Parish for their inaugural Saint Francis Fest!
The evening begins with a special Mass in honor of St. Francis, followed by a short service, known as the Transitus. This centuries old tradition commemorates Francis' passing into eternal life.
Afterwards, join us for a celebration with live music, free food, and more!

This year marks the 800th anniversary of the saint's passing into eternal life. Pope Leo XIV has declared 2026 the Special Jubilee Year of St. Francis. In celebration of this jubilee year, St. Padre Pio Parish and The Port have organized a wide range of activities to explore St. Francis' life and spirituality. This includes monthly 3rd Saturday pilgrimage Masses, multiple lecture series and book studies, and an exhibit and culture series beginning this fall.
