Rock Exoskeletons is a site-responsive movement and sound walk that follows a route from the Terry Fox Memorial Park on Water Street East up Signal Hill Road towards Cabot Tower. Performers Jacinte Armstrong, Andrya Duff, and Bill Brennan, wearing sculptural "rock exoskeletons,” respond through movement and live sound to the geology, architecture, and deep history of the landscape, inviting audiences into an experience of geological listening and deep time.
The performance will last approximately one hour. Please wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. All ages are welcome to join.
Participants are welcome to follow the full route, which includes an uphill walk to Signal Hill. Those who prefer not to make the climb are equally welcome to remain at the starting location or at the endpoint, allowing the performance to gradually move away from them or arrive in their space.
