The Science Students’ Society has invited you to attend our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday the 9th of May from 2PM. Official notice of AGM will be emailed to all current SSS members.
At the AGM, all members will have their chance to run for a position on the Society’s committee, vote for the incoming committee and any proposed constitutional changes, ask questions of the outgoing committee to see what they have been up to and give suggestions for things the club can do in the future.
There will also be reports delivered by the outgoing Executives and Education Officers.
The meeting will commence at 2pm in person at the Q230 Theatre - Kwong Lee Dow Building (Building 263), Floor L2
There will also be a zoom option for those who are incapable of attending in person.

Unless advanced notice is given, persons arriving more than 10 minutes late after the start of the AGM will not be permitted entry.
All attending members will be allowed to nominate and vote.
Membership sign up will close at 11:59pm on Wednesday the 8th of May and reopen at the conclusion of the AGM.

Online nominations will close 11:59PM Wednesday 8th May. You may nominate yourself or another person; a person nominated by someone else must be present at the AGM to accept or reject the nomination, and to confirm that they meet any specified eligibility requirements.
Nominations will also be accepted during the meeting, but we encourage you to nominate beforehand to save time and help with organisation.
Those having nominated themselves or been nominated by others for an Executive position may prepare and present a speech for up to 2 minutes. For General Committee positions you may speak for up to 30 seconds.
