SSI Advanced Specialty Diver Certification
Take your diving to the next level with SSI’s Advanced Specialty Diver Certification. This program is designed for divers who want to build confidence, sharpen their skills, and prepare for more challenging dives.
When you enroll, you will earn the prestigious Advanced Specialty Diver certification plus 4 Specialty certifications. Our standard bundle includes:
Deep Diving
Enriched Air Nitrox
Perfect Buoyancy
Navigation
You may also swap specialties to match your interests, with options such as Night/Limited Visibility, Search & Recovery, Photography, Dry Suit, Wreck, and more.
This course is perfect for divers who want to fine-tune the skills they learned in Open Water training while gaining valuable new experience. The program includes:
Online training
Classroom sessions
Instructor-led required dives
SSI Advanced Specialty Diver certification
4 SSI Specialty certifications
Lifetime access to digital materials
Requirements
Students must be certified as an Open Water Diver and have 24 logged dives by the end of the course.
Newer divers are still welcome to begin training. You can complete the 4 Specialty certifications first, and once you log your 24th dive, SSI will automatically issue your Advanced Specialty Diver certification.
Training Format
Training includes self-study online for the 4 specialties, followed by in-person sessions at the shop:
One evening for Nitrox
One evening in the pool for Perfect Buoyancy
One evening covering the remaining 2 specialties
After that, we head to open water for a fun-filled weekend of training dives.
