Our next blues dance party will be with live music from MJ and the Side Gig! (a fantastic band in their own right, MJ happens to be the daughter of Erica Brown!)This event will kick off the Denver Jazz Festival, Lindy on the Rocks, and Hot Night Fusion Weekend! Come dance with us a day early!!
You can only find SSB at Denver's one and only Mercury Café (in the upstairs ballroom)! Come for good music, good dancing, and good people!
Doors open at 6:30pm. Free street parking or adjacent lots starting at only $4.
There will be a beginner-friendly blues dance lesson from 7-8pm. A dance party with live music from the band and DJ'ed band breaks will follow from 8-12.
7-8pm: All levels blues dance class
Instructors: Kara Fabina & Emory Roehrkasse!
8:30-11:30: MJ and the Side Gig (live blues band!)
DJ: Kara (band breaks)
Admission:
$15- class only ($10 student discount with ID)
$20- dance only ($15 student discount with ID)
$35- class and dance ($25 student discount with ID)
**NOTE: Because of new pricing of the venue, we are no longer offering the $30 class and dance bundled discount- we hope that this small change will offset the extra costs that we have while keeping the dance affordable to attendees.
The dance is indoors, NO RESTRICTIONS: vaccine and mask optional. Please stay home if you feel unwell! Be safe, have fun! We can NOT wait to see you all and continue to celebrate the blues dance scene being back at the Merc! ❤
