Come out to a special version of Shimmy Shakin' Blues's dance party- live music with Rex People & X Factr AND a mixed blues dance and music theory class!You can only find SSB at Denver's one and only Mercury Cafe! Come for good music, good dancing, and good people!
There will be a special mixed blues dance AND music theory class from 7-8pm with Aimee Yen and Rex Peoples himself! A dance party with live music from the band and DJ'ed band breaks will follow from 8-12.
Come on up the stairs when you get to the Merc and come dance with us! ❤

Class description:
Celebrated band leader Rex Peoples and blues dance instructor Aimee Yen team up to teach this all-levels dance class with a helping of context. Alongside learning the basics of a number of juke joint Blues dances, we’ll get to know a few iconic Blues songs and the artists who play them. The juke joint Blues dances we’ll cover will pair well with the live set Rex Peoples & X Factr will be playing so come on out and get ready to have a good time!
8:30-11:30: Rex Peoples & X Factr (band)
DJ: Felicia Bode (band breaks)
Admission:
$15- class only ($10 student discount with ID)
$20- dance only ($15 student discount with ID)
$30- class and dance ($25 student discount with ID)
