SASHTI is celebrated to mark the victory of SRI SUBRAMANYA SWAMY defeat the demon Surapadma and his two brothers Simhamukha and Tarakasura.This day signifies the victory of good over bad and is therefore celebrated with great enthusiasm by the people. The Utsava takes place by taking the Gods Sri Valli, Devasena and Sri Subramanya Swamy in the Silver Chariot blessing all the devotees.
