Through masterful storytelling, the audience will experience a vivid portrayal of the characters and narratives, enhanced by the adept use of vachikabhinaya (expressive speech). This distinctive aspect of Kuchipudi brings the stories to life and deepens the emotional connection, making each tale resonate with the audience. As Sreelakshmy navigates the rhythms and melodies, she will transport viewers down memory lane, celebrating the rich heritage of Kuchipudi Yakshaganam. Bimbavati Devi, the daughter of renowned classical Manipuri dance exponents, Bipin Singh and Kalavati Devi, had an early initiation into the world of dance and music. She has undergone training in pung (Manipuri mridang) playing and the basics of Thang-ta (Manipuri martial art). As a soloist and performing artiste of Manipuri Nartanalaya, one of the pioneering institutions of Manipuri dance in India founded by her parents and the renowned Jhaveri sisters, Devi has performed in various prestigious dance programmes and festivals in India and abroad. Devi will be presenting Jaya Jaya Deva Hare, for millennia now Krishna has been revered as the ultimate Saviour. He preserves and nurtures the generations. Shree Bhagawan had himself proclaimed that whenever there is an ominous probability of good being trampled by evil, He will renounce his hiatus and destroy the evil with His power and panache and protect His devotees. His bhaktas thus were repeatedly saved. He appeared in various forms to save this earth from impending doom and establish dharma. This work consists of several choreographic pieces which are mainly inspired by the verses from Bhagavat Puran, shlokas on Krishna and Vishnu of various Vaishnava treatises and the archetypal Manipuri ritualistic performing traditions that embellish the land throughout the year. All these dances were born out of impassioned devout psyche. Age Limit: 6+ Late entry will not be permitted.
