Cedar Pruitt is passionate about poetry, humor, art, and making new discoveries. As a child, she couldn’t wait to write children’s books, and began writing poems in second grade. After studying culture and education in college and graduate school, she participated for years in writing classes and critique groups before selling her picture books, and now writes daily. She advocates for marginalized voices, as well as parks and urban green spaces. Her happiest place is in the woods with her family.

Lisa Varchol Perron is the author of several books and over seventy poems for kids. Her books have appeared on state lists, earned a School Library Journal starred review, and been named a Jr. Library Guild Selection, NSTA Outstanding Science Trade Book, Golden Kite Award Finalist, Best Science Book for Kids (NPR’s Science Friday), and more. Lisa’s poetry has been featured in various anthologies and magazines, such as Highlights High Five, The Caterpillar, Ladybug, Spider, and Australia’s The School Magazine.
