Squirrel Science: FREE Family Program (All Ages)

Discover the fascinating science of squirrels! Join us at Hempstead Lake State Park to help collect data for Project Squirrel, a citizen science initiative with a goal of understanding tree squirrel ecology.

Please dress accordingly for the weather, wear proper foot attire for hiking, bring a water bottle and a small snack if you like.

We will meet at the Environmental Education and Resiliency Center in Field 1 of Hempstead Lake State Park. $4 per person upon arrival at the front desk. No parking fees in effect. Reservations are required for all programs, each person needs their own ticket. Space is limited. If you are unable to keep your reservation, please cancel so others may have the opportunity to attend. Please try to arrive at least 15 minutes early.
