SQLSaturday Orlando 2021

We will be having our 14th annual Saturday on October 30, 2021 at the Orlando Marriott Lake Mary. This is a free event for the Orlando data community organized by SQLOrlando (blog, Meetup). Registration is free. We encourage you to register early, but if your plans change please cancel your registration so that others can attend.

We have four tracks (rooms) this year with five presentations per room. You can see the schedule at https://sqlsaturday.com/2021-10-30-sqlsaturday1021/#schedule.

Our event schedule this year:

• 8 am. Check-in is open. Grab coffee and a pastry while you visit with our great sponsors in the main foyer.
• 9 am. Sessions begin.
• 12:30 pm. Lunch break. Lunch is not provided, but there are lots of options within walking distance or a five minute drive.
• 1:45 pm. Sessions resume.
• 4:00 pm. Event ends.
• 4:30 - 6:30 pm. After party at Friendly Confines Lake Mary

COVID Policy

We are requesting that all attendees wear a mask. Speakers presenting a session and sponsors at their tables will be exempt. We know wearing a mask isn't fun, we're just trying to do what we can to keep everyone safe.

Things to know:

• Parking is free! We'll be in their convention center, located at the back of the hotel. When you arrive follow the entrance road around to the right, around the hotel, and you'll see the parking area. Super nice!
• Wifi will not be available to attendees. We will provide wifi for speakers that need it for their presentations.
• The four presentation rooms are side by side, you won't have to spend much time moving from room to room.
• Lunch will not be provided this year. There are four restaurants within a two minute walk and many more within a five minute drive.
• We will be having an after event gathering at Friendly Confines, located just adjacent to the meeting center. Come hang out with us for a bit, relax after a great day of learning!

First Timers

Going to a new event can be intimidating, we get it. We try hard to make everyone feel welcome! Just check in between 8 and 9 am, get your badge and raffle tickets, visit the sponsors and get some coffee, then pick a session and go. If the session is full or just not quite what you wanted, just quietly leave the room and drop in to one of the other three concurrent ones.

Tell/Bring a Colleague

If you are attending why not take a minute to let those you work with know about the event and invite them to go with you? Always more fun to go as a team and shared learning is a great way to get ideas moving back at the office.
