SQL Train is a comfortable train ride on Amtrak's Cascades line from Portland, OR to Seattle, WA. Join database administrators, data analysts, BI specialists, and other data-focused folks for a relaxing time through scenic landscapes, arriving at King Street Station in Seattle. Enjoy the company of like-minded professionals and build your social and professional networks attending the same conferences!

SQL Train 2025 is a fun, relaxing event and a way to get from Portland to Seattle in style and comfort, along with old friends and new ones. This is the TENTH SQL Train event and will continue the success of the previous events. As such, we have some guidelines to ensure that everyone has a good time and feels comfortable with this event.

By purchasing a ticket to SQL Train 2025, you agree that you have read, and will abide by, the following rules and codes of conduct:

SQL Train 2025 is a private event, not affiliated with SQL Saturday nor PASS Data Community Summit. As most attendees of SQL Train 2025 are attending one or both events, we will require everyone to comply with BOTH events' codes of conduct:

Travelers on SQL Train 2025 will also need to comply with rules to travel on Amtrak trains, including the following:

SQL Train 2025 will also have additional rules and restrictions:

• No smoking, vaping, e-cigarette, or any form of tobacco consumption on the train or in the station, per Amtrak rules. Such products should be packed in checked baggage.
• No cannabis or derivatives may be consumed on the train or in the station. Medical prescriptions or exemptions must be reviewed and approved by Amtrak personnel before boarding the train. You should plan and expect to either discard such items before boarding, or to pack it in checked baggage.
• Alcohol purchased on board the train may be consumed on the train. Any other alcohol may NOT be consumed on the train. Alcohol purchased outside the train should be placed in checked baggage. Alcohol purchased on the train cannot leave the train, either finish it or discard it before disembarking.
• Additional rules may apply and may be dictated by Amtrak conductors and rail agents. If in doubt, ask a conductor for clarification.

Failure to comply with the codes of conduct and Amtrak rules of travel may result in ejection from the train without refund. Noncompliance will be solely determined by Amtrak personnel and the SQL Train 2025 organizers.
