Join Peach of the Midwest for a free, family-friendly program on Sunday Oct. 10 from 1 to 3:30 pm. This program will include 2 activities. In the Knight Auditorium, Peach will give tips on karaoke performances and offer competitions among participants. In our upstairs Collaboration and Community Gallery, participants will make a glitzy microphone.
Peach began performing in 2008 and hosts drag shows in the C-U area. Peach loves gowns, loves to dance, and loves to sell an illusion. She was a featured performer in our "In Her Closet--How to Make a Drag Queen" exhibit 2019-20. Images of the exhibit can be found at: www.spurlock.illinois.edu/exhibits/profiles/in-her-closet.html
A Karaoke Celebration is the third in our Spurlock Sundays programming for Fall 2021. Programs are offered on the second Sunday of the month from 1 to 3pm. Activities include crafts, performances, and hands-on experiences with cultural artifacts.
