About this Event
Intreo Cork in conjunction with the Springboard Training Providers namely Innopharma Education, Munster Technical University Cork, Munster Technology University Kerry and University College Cork is hosting this event to promote the wide range of training opportunities available.
What is Springboard + ?
Springboard+ is a Government initiative offering free and heavily subsidised courses at certificate, degree, and masters level leading to qualifications in areas where there are employment opportunities in the economy. These areas include ICT, engineering, green skills, manufacturing and construction, among many others.
There are 248 courses available for 2024-25 across the country, the majority of which are flexible and part-time.
Purpose of the Event:
The purpose of the event is to provide jobseekers and job changers with the opportunity to learn about the variety of courses across multiple sectors and to discover the path to full-time employment.
When applying for a course through Springboard+ you will also need to apply on the basis of either being:
Employed - working either for yourself or someone else.
Unemployed - not currently working, receiving a qualifying welfare payment from the Department of Social Protection (unless you are formerly self-employed) and actively seeking employment.
A Returner - a Homemaker, on other caring duties, or economically dependent on a partner/spouse for at least 9 of the last 12 months.
A Recent Graduate - a graduate from a full-time NFQ Level 8 degree within the 12 months prior to the start of a Springboard+ course and who does not fit into one of the above categories.
Please take note of the following:
The Springboard Training Providers have advised that if English is not your first language you will be required to provide evidence of completing a recent English level competency test or you may be requested to complete same before being offered a course place.
