About this Event
TAIJI/TAI CHI
We use Taiji/Tai Chi to cultivate ourselves and learn to develop and understand feeling in our bodies, and how to integrate that into movement. Practice necessitates and promotes a relaxed and focused mind and emotional state. Mindfulness!
The martial art, internal art and philosophy of Taiji is vast, and our classes will give participants an introduction to the art that is easy to follow.
Tai Chi Therapy for health focuses on the soft aspect of the Taiji Chuan system to create balance in the body and spirit. Since Tai Chi is about balance of both Yin and Yang, soft and hard, we also incorporate dynamic, endurance training according to student needs.
Wudang Sanfeng Pai Taiji Chuan is made up of three main systems: Taiji, Bagua Zhang, and Xing Yi. Our training at Elkhart Tai Chi mainly focuses on the Tai Chi system and includes:
- Qigong (Chikung)
- Form Training (Taolu)
- Traditional Stretches
- Drills & Exercises (Jibengong)
