Spring Slam 2026 Open Doubles Pickleball Tournament

Date: Saturday April 18th, 2026

Location: The Crossing @ East Cut, 250 Main Street, San Francisco, CA 94105

Schedule

• Warm-up: 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM
• Tournament play: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Entry Fee

$60 per team (excludes non-refundable Eventbrite processing fees). Players must be 21 or older to participate.

Tournament Structure

Round Robin elimination followed by top four finals. Each team will play every other team in their division once. The top four teams in each division compete in finals, 1st vs 2nd, 3rd vs 4th.
Divisions & Team Placement

• 2–3 divisions (depending on entries), with 6 teams maximum per division.
• Teams will be placed in divisions with similarly skilled opponents for fair, competitive play.(e.g., Beginner and Beginning Intermediate teams may play in the same division.)

Skill Level & Team Rating

During registration, select your team's Skill Level based on the Team Rating Guide below which will be embedded in the Eventbrite questions. Submit your estimated team rating—honest self-assessment helps ensure balanced divisions!
Beginner: New players master basic shots and keep the ball in play during fun rallies. They know the rules, enjoy consistent serves and returns, and build confidence on the court.
Beginning Intermediate: Players sustain longer rallies with good consistency and place shots intentionally (e.g., targeting weaknesses). They use dinking and occasional lobs effectively to elevate their game.
Intermediate: Players hit reliable shots and apply smart strategy: targeting weaknesses, controlling pace, and moving to the net. They show strong court awareness and blend offense with defense smoothly.
Advanced Intermediate: Players control shots with spin, precise placement, and varied pace to dictate play. They confidently execute dinks, volleys, drops, drives, and smashes in competitive settings, using advanced tactics like resets and third-shot drops.
Advanced: Tournament-ready players display high consistency, power, and smart decision-making under pressure. They adapt to opponents, master spin/placement, execute advanced shots reliably, and dictate play with minimal unforced errors.
