This course will give you the opportunity to learn some of the basic skills used in the sport of Olympic fencing. Designed as a short, immersive experience, this class will teach you some of the history of fencing, the basics of swordsmanship using an epee, unique footwork, and strategy. If you decide that fencing is the sport for you, the next step would be to become an official club member (only open to individuals who have taken at least one course).Come prepared for physical activity. Dress for physical activity wearing gym pants (sorry no shorts while fencing), bring indoor shoes to change into, a water bottle, and you may also want to bring a notebook. All fencing equipment will be provided.
For ages 9+.
Classes are April 28th and May 5th from 1:30-3:30 pm.
