Nau mai, haere mai! We're selling a bunch of fabulous seedlings for your māra, and there'll be pizza to eat while you think about where to fit them all.
Hero seedlings include tomatoes (soooo many different types), cucumbers, chillies, capsicums and herbs but there's plenty more to choose from - including perennial herbs and even bananas. Our sale also falls a couple weeks after the much-awaited Kelmarna sale, so it's a good time to top up and fill bare spaces in your garden that are ready to grow something yummy.
The seedling sale will run from 11am - 2pm (unless sold out earlier) and pizzas willl be fired from 12.30pm.
We'll provide GF pizza bases for us all to enjoy but please do bring along a fun topping for our volunteers to create culinary art with.
All seedlings are grown organically - driven by our Hua Parakore journey - and with predominately locally-saved seed of tried-and-tested varieties.
Hosted at Dignan St Community Garden, located within the Pt Chevalier Bowling Club grounds. Head to the 25 Dignan St, walk through the bowling club carpark, turn right at the club and keep walking past the greens until you see the oasis and hear the music playing.
