Bring a little bit of Snug Harbor home with you after a visit to the Spring Plant Sale! ALL of this year’s plants have been grown or propagated right here on campus. Pre-order dozens of different annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs, and houseplants through April 29, or visit the in-person sale on May 1-3.
On sale will be unusual and hard-to-find annuals, tender and hardy perennials, and a wide assortment of edible plants. Many plants will be suitable for outdoor containers.

# indicates that the plant is drought-tolerant or drought-resistant (26% of the plants we propagated)
* indicates that the plant is native to this area, according to designations by NYC Parks, Audubon New York and Cornell University (5% of the plants we propagated)
Did you know: You can pay for your vegetable and herb purchases with SNAP/EBT!
Your Plant Sale purchases will support Snug Harbor’s horticulture program and beautiful botanical gardens, as well as our work with community growers and school gardens. BONUS: Snug Harbor Members get a 10% discount off their final purchase.
Snug Harbor’s professional horticulturists on staff will be available on May 1 and 3 to answer questions. If you have any questions, contact [email protected], allowing 2 business days for a response.
Web trays
Web trays are not included with plant purchases, but are available for $2 each to help keep your plants secure during transport. We recommend 1 web tray for every 1–6 items purchased. For example, 1 tray for 1–6 items, 2 trays for 7–12 items, 3 trays for 13–18 items, etc.
