Transmission Expansion and Reform
This session will cover grid operational needs that are driving the more recent reforms to the interconnection process and transmission expansion. We’ll discuss FERC Order 1920, accelerated interconnection pathways like MISO's ERAS, data centers and energy storage. Topics will cover ways that utilities, ISO’s, and regulators are both expanding transmission capability and squeezing additional capacity from the system via technical and regulatory innovation. The panel will include:
