ABOUT OUR KEYNOTE SPEAKER:

Dr Martin Gallagher — Leading Through Crisis

Dr Martin Gallagher is a former Police Scotland Superintendent whose 30‑year career spanned intelligence operations, serious crime investigation, and leadership in some of the UK’s most high‑pressure environments. He played key roles in major national events including the G8 Summit, the London Olympics, COP26, and the merger of Scotland’s police forces. As Area Commander of Paisley, he led Scotland’s largest town through complex organisational and operational challenges, and successfully delivered major technology transformation projects.

Recognised with three commendations for personal bravery, Martin also served internationally as a leadership mentor in Southeast Asia and has gone on to support criminal investigations across Africa and in the United States as an expert witness. He is a regular commentator with BBC, Sky News, GB News, LBC and other broadcasters.

Holding a PhD in Criminology and two Masters degrees in Terrorism Studies and Criminal Justice Studies, Martin has authored more than 70 publications, including his 2024 book Terror for Profit. He also leads The Job’s Forgotten, a 600‑strong group of retired emergency services personnel whose campaigning has achieved national media coverage and secured significant financial redress for its members.

Drawing on real‑world crisis leadership, counter‑terrorism strategies and high‑risk decision‑making, Martin brings powerful, practical insights for today’s business leaders.
