June is National Homeownership month!
To celebrate homeownership month and Juneteenth, DFC is inviting the community to join us for our June Neighborhood Housing Compact meeting to celebrate black liberation and wealth generation through homeownership. We invite you to join us for an engaging and interactive event that seeks to outline and ideate actions that can advance policy and advocacy for equitable housing in Detroit and the region.
During this event, DFC will explore innovative solutions to homeowners to inspire action, ideas, and partnerships to advance hosing initiatives to support wealth generation in Detroit. A panel of local leaders will join us to inspire leadership and commitment to advancing economic equity and justice though housing.
While there is no charge for this event, contributing to DFC supports its ability to serves as an influential leader in the areas of economic and racial equity, environmental sustainability, and stakeholder engagement to: grow the number of resilient, thriving neighborhoods that attract and retain residents of diverse incomes and backgrounds; and disrupt systemic racism, poverty, and other inequities to grow household income and wealth for Black Detroiters and other Detroiters of color. During this event, we will:
- Explore innovative solutions to homeownership to inspire action and ideas
- Culitvate cross pollination between practitioners to advance housing initiatives in Detroit
- Inspire leadership and commitment to advancing economic equity and justice through housing
- Engage in discussions to explore ways to advance policy and advocacy for equitable housing in Detroit and the region.
- Celebrate black liberation and wealth generation through homeownership.
