Participants will have the opportunity to tour this exhibition, along with VMHC's other galleries, participate in a scavenger hunt highlighting immigration stories throughout Virginia's history, and learn about crafts & games that highlight cultures on display in the exhibition. This is a drop in program and participants are welcome to arrive anytime they like. Please register to allow our team to prep the appropriate amount of materials!
Games & Crafts Include:
Paper Weaving (Mali)
Colorful Lanterns, or Fanous (Egypt)
Vase Decorating (Greece)
Daruma Otoshi - a classic stacking game (Japan)
Yut Nori - a fast paced bord game (South Korea)
We will also have representatives from the Italian American Cultural Association and Organization of Chinese Americans - Central Virginia Chapter onsite to talk about their history, as well as a Mexican Street Corn Cooking Demo from Young Chef's Academy!
